Since the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) came into force in 2007, all property sales and new rentals must be accompanied by an energy certificate showing the predictable energy consumption of the building or apartment. For new buildings and also for comprehensive modernisation measures of existing buildings, this results in special obligations for the owner and the companies carrying out the work. In recent years, the regulations of the EnEV have been constantly tightened.
If the hot water supply is decentralised with electronic instantaneous water heaters , the room heating can be set to a low temperature level. This saves energy, is efficient and EnEV-compliant.
